I’m Naim Ibrahim, born in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia and currently residing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
I started programming in 1998 when I was 12, and have been using computer since 1996. In 1999 I joined an online hacking group, mostly consisted of undergraduate students studying in the US and UK, that helped me to rapidly grow my interest and knowledge in computer security and programming. I self-learned to program in C, TCL, HTML and Bash. Out of curiosity, I had penetrated and gained access to hundreds of computer servers by applying exploit codes released on the web by security researchers. I was a mentor for schoolmates to learn computer.
Learning technology did not disrupt my academic excellence in schools. I received full scholarship and attended The University of Manchester, a top university in engineering in 2006, which was a dream come true. I hold a bachelor degree in Computer Science from a private university in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
An ethical software engineer by profession, I can write codes in C/C++, C# .NET, PHP, HTML, Java, JavaScript, and Python – I’m learning new emerging technologies to put myself at the forefront. I am familiar with Linux operating systems, skilled in computer networks and have interest in embedded system, such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
I like to read a lot about history. An avid reader and thinker, I also love sports, and regularly watch Juventus games and MotoGP races.
